Rogaland County invites to a conference on language minority pupils' rights, individual case management and use of mapping tools with respect to § § 2-8 and 3-12 in the Education Act.
Target audience: School owners, employers working with language minorities, principals, coordinators at schools, Norwegian teachers, mother language and bilingual teachers.

What we find of nationally developed tools? How to use these tools at your own school, and how should we interpret the results of a survey? Else Ryen from the University of Oslo provides concrete examples from schools on how to carry out the survey.
Keynotes: - Else Ryen from NAFO is working as a professor at the University of Oslo. Ryen will provide examples of how to use mapping tools, on how it can be adapted to pupils and how one interprets the results. - Director of Education Sølvi Ona Gjul has been a member of the Østberg committee. The Committee submitted its conclusions and assessments 1 June with the report: NOU 2010:7 "Diversity and Coping." The report is now in consultation with deadline: November 1. Gjul will discuss the main conclusions of this report.
