10 Facts about the Norwegian tests for immigrants: - Vox has overall responsibility for the Norwegian tests and has commissioned the "People's University" (Folkeuniversitetet) - to develop, quality assure and control the tests. - The Norwegian tests are in Bokmål and Nynorsk. - Norwegian Test 2 and Test 3 are final tests that measure proficiency in Norwegian, respectively, levels A2 and B1. - The samples consist of a written and an oral part, which can be taken independently of each other and are considered separately. - Participants receive a certificate upon passing the test. - The results can be used as guidance for admission to further education, employment courses or in connection with job applications. - The Norwegian language tests are used as further evidence of Norwegian language skills when applying for permanent residence or citizenship. - The tests are based on the topics that candidates should be familiar with through education and living in Norway. - The Norwegian language tests are held three times a year: winter, summer and fall. - The Department of Children, Equality and Social Inclusion has set a goal in which 65 percent should pass the written and 90 percent the oral tests.
